ΔI=1 Staggering in Normally Deformed Band 1/2
WU Chong-shi, PAN Yi
2002, 19(1): 1-6. doi: 10.11804/NuclPhysRev.19.01.001
Abstract(2370) PDF (177KB)(872)
Abstract:
The ΔI=1 staggering phenomenon has been investigated systematically for the normally deformed bands in the odd-A rare-earth nuclei. By extracting the values of Δ 2 E γ(I)=[E γ(I)+E γ(I-2)]/2-E γ(I-1) from the transition energies in a pair of signature partner bands, regular signature- and spin-dependent zigzag patterns are explored in a series of the neutron ↓ bands. The staggering amplitude varies with spin roughly as a parabola-like curve, the same as the behavior observed in the odd mass superdeform...

The low excitation energy levels, resonance strength and its contribution to the resonance crosses section are also discussed. Finally, we have calculated the reaction rate of the direct capture reaction.......

ZHOU Shu-hua
2002, 19(1): 30-34. doi: 10.11804/NuclPhysRev.19.01.030
Abstract(1884) PDF (193KB)(507)
Abstract:
The recent progress in gamma-ray spectroscopy of hypernuclei is described. The spin-flip M1 γ transition between the ground-state spin doublet of 7 ΛLi has been observed. The transition energy provides crucial information on the strength of the spin-spin intetraction between Λ and nucleons. The experimental result of B(E2; 7 ΛLi 5/2 +→1/2 +) gives evidence that the size of the 6Li core in 7 ΛLi is smaller than that for the 6Li nucleus in the free space, indicating that the...

It is necessary to measure the scattering cross sections with good accuracy at a large scattering angle for the applications of proton backscattering analysis. The present paper reports our measured results of differential elastic backscattering cross sections of 1.30-2.21 MeV...

Abstract(2414) PDF (170KB)(594)
Abstract:
The principles, merit and demerit of neutron and prompt γ-ray method are described through the cross section measurement for 239 Pu(n,2n) reaction. The population ways of low levels of the product nucleus are divided into a direct population from the (n,2n) reaction, a part from the upper level deexitation and a part from the all high level deexitation. The missed cross sections σ m(k) are defined. The minimum missed cross section σ m(0) that can not be measured experimentlly is obtained...

It shows that high density plasma engendered by ion irradiation plays an important role in the growing of carbon nanostructures. In addition, it indicates that ion irradiation, due to its great flexibility of experimental parameters, is enormously convenient in...

The cross-section ratios of the transfer ionization to the single electron capture of helium induced by fluorine ions in the strong-interaction region were measured by means of the position-sensitive-detecting and the time-of -flight (TOF) technologies. Is is found that the cross section ratios decrease with the increasing of the interaction-strength κ in this work. In the energy range of this work, the transfer ionization can be considered as a two-step process that one electron is captured by projectile...
