Abstract: The spectrum analysing technique is widely used in the Geochemical Logging Tool(GLT) recently.GLT measured the natural γ-rays,induced and prompted neutron—capture γ-raysto get the logs of concentration of ten main elements found in reservoir rocks, and through the use ofthe closed—modelling, the concentration of these elements can be derived mineral abundances.Itprovides a reliable way for geologists to evaluate the sedimentary environment and reservoirformation.
