Abstract

The fission timescales are determined directly from the analysis of the measured fission excitation function data for the ¹²C+¹⁹⁷Au,¹²C+²⁰⁹Bi and ¹⁴N+²⁰⁷Pb reac- tions.Our results are compared with those of similar work.The effect of the nuclear viscosity on the fission timescales is also discussed.
