Abstract: A new wheat variety named Hezu 8 was developed by in vitro mutation techniques com-bining the somatic tissue culture with the radiation—induced mutation.This is the first one in theworld for breeding wheat variety in such a way,that the nuclear technology was successfully appliedto b(?)otechnology.Hezu 8 is featured by high yield potential,early maturity,disease resistance,toler-ance to moisture as well as good grain quality.In vitro mutation technique has proved to be helpful inincrement ...
