Abstract: This paper briefly introduces the developing trends of the experimental instruments, the study direction and the quantitative analysis methods on X-Ray Spectrometry(XRS).Although XRS is an old field in the application of nuclear technique, the recent progresses, in various forms of XRS, are dramatic. XRS is now a powerful and well establishedanalytical technique for routine analysis of samples and study of material fine structures.
