Abstract

The development in the medical physics in the institute of Theoretical ExperimentalPhysics (ITEP) is introduced. The achievements of over 20 years in proton therapy, which have been obtained in ITEP are mainly reported. The recent research work in ITEP on developing the new Treatment and Diagnostic Facility (TDF) is briefly discussed.
