  • The present status of experimental studies of the total reaction cross sections of exotic nuclei are reviewed. A detector system used for measuring the total reaction cross section of radioactive ions is described. The energy calibration of detectors, particle identification and possible experimental results are discussed.

Abstract:  The present status of experimental studies of the total reaction cross sections of exotic nuclei are reviewed. A detector system used for measuring the total reaction cross section of radioactive ions is described. The energy calibration of detectors, particle identification and possible experimental results are discussed.
