  • The principles and structure characteristics of Large Area Scintillating Fiber Array(LASFA) detector at RIBLL (Radioactive Ion Beam Line in Lanzhou) are described. The development of LASFA and the characteristics of the scintillating fibers unit are reported. LASFA can be used to detect the light charged particles at RIBLL terminal due to its good time and spatial resolutions.

Abstract: The principles and structure characteristics of Large Area Scintillating Fiber Array(LASFA) detector at RIBLL (Radioactive Ion Beam Line in Lanzhou) are described. The development of LASFA and the characteristics of the scintillating fibers unit are reported. LASFA can be used to detect the light charged particles at RIBLL terminal due to its good time and spatial resolutions.
